Having the right social work supervisor is crucial to developing the necessary therapy skill set, combining clinical and social work fundamentals. My goal is to work alongside the LMSW clinician toward obtaining the supervisee’s highest level of clinical skill and practical knowledge, while maintaining an attitude of ongoing, life-long learning.
Though no two clients are the same, I frequently utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy as a basis for intervention with clients; as well as Motivational Interviewing regarding the Transtheoretical Stages of Change; and Strengths-Based focuses.
In addition to theoretical orientation, I bring my training and practical experiences to the supervision partnership, including experience with:
- psychotherapy alongside youth, adults and families
- interdisciplinary collaboration with behavioral and medical health professionals
- hospital, community health clinic, school youth & family center, foster care, and private practice settings
I offer a supportive, challenging, open-minded space for LMSW’s to identify their own individual strengths and areas for development. Together, we will work toward competency in developing a theoretical framework, building upon ethical practice and outstanding client care.
I look forward to working with you!
