My youngest went to school today. First time. Earlier this week, I thought I’d have to send my husband to drop off the kids; I didn’t want to sob hysterically in the drop off line and felt pretty confident that was what awaited me.

Instead, I took a moment of calm before getting out of bed this morning and focused on the excitement that awaits my little one at the school my oldest already adores, as well as the potential for what lies ahead in my career as a Perinatal Mental Health Therapist and LCSW Supervisor. She went in without a fuss, the teachers are already obsessed with her dimples, and although I miss her like crazy being at home without her here, I will just look forward to picking them both up and snuggling them after school!

Postpartum and breastfeeding hormones are no joke, y’all. I’m grateful for the friends and family who have checked on me and sent up their prayers and good vibes all week. It really does take a village!
